Learning and Development

During our last class we were asked to answer the question on whether learning proceeds development. I believe that learning and development work hand in hand. As a child, you must develop before you can eat normal foods rather than baby foods. However, you are learning as this developmental process is taking place. The child is learning how to eat regular food because their body has developed physically. You also must develop mentally to perform such tasks that include reading and writing. Another example is that a person must be physically developed to learn how to walk. On the other hand, I believe that the more you learn the more you grow and the more you grow the more you learn as a person. In my opinion learning and development proceed each other.
